  • House of Harland - KFC themed staycation

KFC is offering fans the opportunity to book an exclusive one-night KFC themed staycation in the House of Harland. Located in London, each room is filled with delicious details, from a private cinema room, to a Finger Lickin’ ‘Press For Chicken’ button and Hot Winger Arcade Machine. It’s no secret that 11 herbs and spices make things all the more tasty, so in celebration of the lucky number, House of Harland will be open for 11 nights between the 18th – 29th August. And because they love a theme, rooms are available to book exclusively on Hotels.com from 11am on 11th August for just £111 per room per night (see what they did there!?), with 100% of proceeds going towards the KFC Foundation.

We’ve spotted hotel takeovers like this before, including one by Nutella in Nappa Valley, the Taco Bell hotel in Palm Springs, and even a Barbie® House on Airbnb. To celebrate Barbie’s 60th Birthday! It remains a fun way to work together and usually it is combined with a good cause.

Opening in Antwerp – With MOOY Bakery, the popular pink lunch spot ‘MOOY Food & Drinks’ is introducing a completely new concept across the street from the current store. Here they serve milkshakes, cupcakes, cake slices and fancy sweet & savory toasts! All sweet tooths can gather here! Owner Yana Lamon starts with one establishment, with the aim of being able to expand it later or even develop it as a franchise concept. The stairway to sweet treat heaven? You can climb it from this summer at the Lombardenvest 33 in Antwerp.

Looking at the images, the concept reminds us a bit of the very popular and Instagrammable EL&N cafes in London. And if MOOY Bakery will be as busy as this chain is in London, it can expand quickly! Nice to visit if you go shopping with friends in Antwerp. The cake slices look deliciously sweet!

During a health crisis it is of key importance to use the healing properties of food. That is why Ekomenu is launching a ‘Recovery meal box’ on the 22nd of July: a healthy, high protein and 100% biological meal box which gives the immune system a boost. The recipes are created by culinary chef Frank Fol, otherwise known as ‘de Groentekok®’, one of the driving forces behind Ekomenu. An international scientific study showcased that during the Covid-19 crisis people focused even more on healthy eating and bought a lot more fruits and vegetables.

Interesting development in the area of meal boxes! Can a restaurant also follow this concept of healthy meal boxes to restore the body? It could definitely be an option if you are still delivering boxes.
