According to the owners of Lazzarella, the pizzas served in the Dutch hospitality industry are often not fresh, not authentic Italian and not always tasty. Lazzarella’s ready-made pizza solution allows restaurants to serve Authentic Neapolitan pizzas with minimal effort.

Although they currently only are made in Naples, the pizza will soon be produced at their pizzeria in Erp. The dough is prepared with fresh ingredients from Italy, stretched by hand and baked 80% before being packaged. With minimal skills and time, the pizza can be easily topped and only has to bake briefly. The journey of authentic Neapolitan pizzas by Lazzarella

Joep Tiebosch and Igor van den Bergh have more than a decade of experience preparing authentic Neapolitan pizzas. The journey of Lazzarella, formerly known as Mario & Luigi, began out of a deep dissatisfaction with the quality of pizza in the Netherlands. What began as a small backyard venture grew into a thriving business with 700 catering events a year, workshops, a pizza school and its own pizzeria in Erp (a village in the south of the Netherlands), also known as little Naples.

At Lazzarella, they strive to enrich the Netherlands and Belgium with a slice of Italian dolce vita. This year they will be one of the few Dutch catering establishments to receive the AVPN (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana) seal of approval. The introduction of their sustainable pizzas marks another step in their mission.
