Especially for King’s Day 2024, GiG is launching their hard seltzer ‘GiG Orange Anthem’ with a refreshing orange flavour for the ultimate King’s Day experience. Owner Bob Ponsen: “The GiG Orange Anthem is selling really fast, which is great to see. I understand that too, because the improved flavour is, if I do say so myself, even tastier now. By the way, that’s something we always hear, that our seltzers are so flavorful, really cool”.

Bob Ponsen: “Whereas last year we distributed more than 150,000 cans ourselves with our own busses in the last five days before King’s Day. We have now already sold 250,000 cans two weeks in advance. This is a huge growth compared to 2023”.

Recently, they have also introduced a delivery service for anyone who wants to order their own GiGje.

About GiG

GiG Hard Seltzer and GiG Hard Lemonade are low in alcohol sparkling waters in a variety of flavours and with low calories. Behind the drinks is an Amsterdam family business and American inspiration – a formula for success that ensured a flying start from its inception in 2020. The range includes Hard Seltzers Grapefruit Melody, Lime Rhythm and Berry Beat and Hard Lemonades Lemon and Orange. And since recently, the latest King’s Day edition ‘GiG Orange Anthem’. GiG is best consumed in cold cans, making it a perfect and refreshing drink any time, whether at home, at a party or at a concert or festival. The gig – the performance – of musicians now has a fine counterpart for visitors with GiG: the drink you drink while enjoying the music.

The GiG Hard Seltzer brand by brothers Max (26) and Bob (29) Ponsen is going through a growth spurt and has been available at several supermarkets since the beginning of this year. But that is only part of their success story. The success took off according to Bob because “Heineken and Coca-Cola do not have the connection with the target group, which we do. My brother and I are convinced that GiG is going to be the most popular drink among Millennials and Gen Z. In the coming festival season, we will be at numerous festivals. Something normally reserved only for big corporates, but it’s great to see festival organizers embracing our brand and giving us that opportunity. Hard Seltzer is refreshing in cold cans at its best – and that is exactly what comes in very handy at festivals.”
