Restaurants can use the app for free

NeoTaste, a pioneering startup from Germany, has created a win-win situation for the restaurant world and its customers: The company has developed a solution wherein restaurant visitors receive exclusive introductory offers from restaurants through the app, enabling them to effortlessly test diverse dining experiences. NeoTaste is the first platform that restaurant owners can use free of charge to acquire new customers. The team behind NeoTaste is also already planning further functions for digital interaction between restaurants and customers, including direct reservation options and much more.

The NeoTaste-App offers clear benefits to both users and restaurant owners. Users have access to exclusive benefits, while restaurants can expand their customer base. The subscription model for users is very attractive at just €4.99 per month (or €2.99 if paying monthly), while restaurants can use the service for free.

Note from the editorial staff of Horecatrends: of course you have to take making offers into account as a restaurant.

Vision behind the NeoTaste app

Since its launch in September 2021, NeoTaste has acquired over 600,000 users and established partnerships with more than 2,400 restaurants across Germany. Recently, the company received a substantial €5.9 million Series A funding from Burda Principal Investments (BPI) and prominent German business angels to drive further growth initiatives. Amsterdam marks the company’s first international expansion.

Hendrik Sander, CEO of NeoTaste, formulated the company’s vision as follows: “Our mission is to create a platform that unifies the entire digital interaction between restaurants and customers and fundamentally simplifies the discovery of new gastronomic experiences. Over the past two years, we have inspired hundreds of thousands of people to visit new restaurants more often. Our launch in Amsterdam marks the next milestone. We are delighted that the Dutch can now also use NeoTaste to discover new culinary experiences in their neighborhood. Amsterdam marks our first international step and we are excited to see how the app will be adapted outside of Germany.”

The app currently operates in 24 German cities, including Bochum, Bonn, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Essen, Hamburg, Hannover, Köln, München, Münster, Oldenburg, and Osnabrück, consistently expanding its roster of restaurants and cities. Over half a million deals have been booked by more than 600,000 users in over 2,400 partner restaurants. In Amsterdam, NeoTaste will launch with an additional 200 partner restaurants in February.
