This week, amongst others about new truffles species that are discovered in Thailand, let’s hope they won’t be as expensive as the real deal! And about a new product in the Netherlands: Meat Your Veggies, part vegetables, part meat. Who knows, maybe they can persuade meat lovers to eat less meat!

Ripple, plant-based milk | Will this change the dairy industry?

Ripple launched a new line of dairy products in April 2016 powered by $44 million from Google and Silicon Valley venture capitalists. But what is Ripple? Milk made from simple yellow peas. It’s a plant-based milk, high in protein, low in sugar. Ripple has a good taste (it has a creamy texture which is something other dairy free products are missing, according to the company), it nourishes your body and leaves a small footprint on the planet. Ripple milk is nut-, gluten-, lactose- and soy-free and 100% vegan.

Pathé is opening 4D cinema’s in the Netherlands

Pathé Cinemas will open a 4D cinema in the Netherlands. Visiting a 4D cinema means you’ll not only watch a movie as a visitor but also experience it. Moving chairs and effects like wind, bubbles and odor result in an unbelievable experience in perfect harmony with the on-screen action.
Subway’s Facebook Messenger ordering bot | Launched in the United States

Last week, Subway launched a bot for Facebook Messenger that allows guests to order sandwiches and salads from more than 26,500 Subway restaurants in the U.S. The first-of-its-kind sandwich ordering bot was announced at the F8 Facebook Developer Conference with Agilitee, one of Subway’s digital partners, and is the latest innovation from Subway® Digital. Guests can use Subway’s Facebook Messenger ordering bot to order a sandwich or salad, customize it with their favorite bread; cheese; vegetables; and sauce, to pay on any device that supports Messenger. The bot is the latest addition to the brand’s mobile order systems that includes web ordering and app ordering.
Tequila cloud | Hey, Visit Mexico it rains a lot in the Netherlands as well!

While most the tourism videos draw attention to beautiful beaches, impressive views and warm weather, Tourism Board Visit Mexico went for an outside-the-box- approach. In order to attract more German tourists to Mexico, Visit Mexico and ad agency Lapiz designed a tequila cloud, a cloud that rains tequila. For some of the tequila lovers, their dream came true.

The aim of the restaurant is to train the employees and prepare them for a place In the Dutch labour market.
