Early September, Vinyl-, Pool- and Cocktailbar Spin opens its doors in Amsterdam-West: a new hospitality concept where the love of analog music, high-quality hospitality, and play come together. Not from any single one of these elements, but from the conviction that their combination creates a new way of going out. Behind the initiative stands a collective of entrepreneurs with extensive experience in Amsterdam’s hospitality, festival, and nightlife scene.

At Vinyl-, Pool- and Cocktailbar Spin, an evening isn’t about a single activity but about the complete experience

As the pool balls roll across the felt, carefully selected vinyl records fill the space and set the rhythm of the evening. Spanning 350 m², Spin features nine tournament-grade pool tables, complemented by expertly mixed signature cocktails and a menu of refined small bites to share. With around sixty seats and thoughtful routing, the space effortlessly shifts with the time of day, from a relaxed afternoon to a lively evening at the bar.

An interior that enhances the experience

The interior of Vinyl-, Pool- and Cocktailbar Spin was designed by Spym Studio, specialized in interior architecture and spatial design. The inspiration lies between the 1960s and 1980s, without becoming nostalgic. Warm, saturated colors, indirect lighting, and a rich palette of materials give the space a layered, timeless character. Glossy and matte finishes, ribbed textures, and subtle metallic details create tension and depth, while bold volumes and clean lines provide balance and calm. The result is an interior that doesn’t shout for attention but where everything simply feels right: moody, refined, and with just enough contrast to keep things exciting.

Music as a destination

Where many listening bars call for sitting quietly and listening attentively, Spin embraces a more dynamic rhythm: you move between the pool tables as the music fills the room, or take a seat at the bar to fully immerse yourself in what comes through the speakers. The sound system was specially designed for that balance: powerful enough to energize, subtle enough to still hold a conversation. The musical programming follows that same philosophy: not fame, but taste takes center stage. Spin invites DJs, collectors, musicians, and other creatives with a genuine relationship to music, who share their personal selections with the space and its guests.

In addition to the central space, Spin features a standalone dive bar with room for around sixty guests, available for private dining, birthdays, and corporate events.

About Vinyl-, Pool- and Cocktailbar Spin

Spin was developed by a collective of entrepreneurs who previously helped launch ventures including DGTL, Door 74, Sissi’s, and Club RAUM. From that shared experience came the desire to create a place where music is programmed with the same care as in a listening bar, combined with expertly mixed cocktails, refined bites to share, and an evening of pool with all the allure of a leading cocktail bar.
