Restaurant Spetters in the Netherlands launches an anniversary book
Michelin-starred Restaurant Spetters presents ‘Spetters – Shaped by Time’, an anniversary book that brings together fifteen years of culinary development, personal stories, and signature recipes. More than just a cookbook, chef-owner Laurent Smallegange shares his journey of building, growing, and continuously innovating. Located at the marina of Breskens, Spetters is renowned for its modern, refined cuisine with a strong focus on regional products from the Dutch region Zeeland. The Hulstkamp Gebouw in Rotteerdam reopened after big renovation
Following several months of renovation, the Hulstkamp Gebouw on Rotterdam’s Noordereiland is once again fully operational. With great respect for its historic character, the national monument dating back to 1888 has been adapted to meet the needs of modern business and cultural events. Special attention was given to the restoration of the Winter Garden, where authentic details have been preserved and restored. The venue accommodates a wide range of gatherings, from corporate events to fashion shows, brand activations, and cultural programming. The reopening was recently celebrated with a private event featuring a walking dinner and live music.

On June 2, restaurant De Beren opened a new location in Duiven, situated at the largest food court in the Netherlands, near the A12 motorway. With approximately 300 seats spread across the ground floor, upper floor, terrace, and rooftop terrace, the restaurant offers space for a variety of occasions throughout the day. The first weeks will be dedicated to a festive opening period, featuring surprises for guests and various activities. Last week, we wrote about a fun initiative by the chain: the Beren helmet.
Mini Master Playground has opened its doors in Waddinxveen
Mini Masters Playground has recently opened its doors. This interactive indoor play world allows children to discover different professions through play. Learning by doing, fun and educational at the same time. It is a miniature society where “little heroes” can experience “big adventures.” The venue is located at Marktstraat 38 in Waddinxveen, in the Gouweplein shopping centre.

Radisson Hotel Group opens two new hotels in Innsbruck and Cambridge
Radisson Hotel Group has added two new European properties to its portfolio: the design-focused Radisson RED Innsbruck in Austria and the characterful Gonville Hotel in Cambridge. Located in the heart of Innsbruck, Radisson RED Innsbruck combines the playful and contemporary spirit of the Radisson RED brand with the unique setting of the Alps. Dutch wine harvest doubled in 2025 as the previous year
Dutch wine growers produced approximately 11,752 hectolitres of wine during the past wine year—more than 1.5 million bottles and twice as much as the previous year. These figures come from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Dutch Wine Producers Association (VNWP). The record harvest was partly due to the exceptionally warm summer of 2025, one of the warmest ever recorded by the KNMI. The harvest came from 220 vineyards covering a combined area of approximately 350 hectares. Around three-quarters of the wines produced were white wines, with the remainder consisting of rosé and red wines. Historic Waterman House set for new life as boutique AMANO Hotel
Manex Properties, the joint venture between AMANO Group and Excellion Capital, has secured planning permission to transform Waterman House at 41 Kingsway in London into a boutique AMANO hotel. The former office building will be redeveloped to include 73 guestrooms and a new ground-floor food retail concept. As AMANO’s second hotel in Central London, the project will restore and enhance the landmark building’s historic character while creating a vibrant lifestyle destination in the heart of Theatreland. Guests will also benefit from access to AMANO’s growing collection of rooftop bars, restaurants, event spaces and coffee shops across London.
