Utrecht Cocktail Week from 10-14 April

Chipotle Mexican Grill announced the launch of a new interactive game on April 2nd. The game, ‘Burrito Vault’ gave away 100,000 Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) free entrée codes* redeemable exclusively on National Burrito Day, April 4. More details in their press release, link in the title.

Quality Lodgings adds three hotels to its portfolio

Quality Lodgings has added three great locations to its collection of independent quality hotels in Europe; Boutique Hotel Texel, Hotel Restaurant de Echoput and Hotel Goldene Rose. Launch of ‘Experimental Batch’ Vintage Gin from Rynbende Spirits

Rynbende Spirits is to launch an ‘Experimental Batch’ Vintage Gin. This exclusive range, based on an old Rynbende recipe, embodies the spirit of ancient craftsmanship. Together with the talented and enthusiastic Alwine van Winsen and Rob van der Gaag of Serious Bee Distillers from Schiedam, they created a limited collection of just 140 bottles – a unique experience that lovers of fine spirits should not miss. And next year at the earliest, a matured Vintage Genever, after maturing in the century-old cellars of Herman Jansen, will see the light of day after sailing halfway around the world on a traditional sailing freighter.

National Week Without Meat & Dairy had 2.8 million participants in the Netherlands

As many as 20% of Dutch people participated in the seventh edition of the National Week Without Meat & Dairy, which took place from the 4th of March till March 10 this year. This is a record number of participants since the launch of the annual campaign in 2018. Despite an eventful edition with fierce dissent and farmer protests, the Netherlands’ largest eating behaviour change campaign achieved the highest participation ever. Yet the campaign remains necessary, to continue to facilitate the conversation and make eating less meat and dairy the new normal in the Netherlands. Thanks to the ‘Horizon Action Grant’ of the European Union’s ‘Horizon Europe funding programme’, the campaign could be rolled out in several European countries since 2023 as part of the LIKE-A-PRO project (link in the title), with the aim of also showing residents of other European countries how tasty and easy it is to eat less meat for a day. In October 2023, Belgium was the first country within the European Union to roll out the campaign. This year, Denmark and Germany will follow. From 2025, Austria and Spain are on the agenda, and possibly other countries.
