Bill banning cultivated meat in Florida is on its way to Gov. Ron DeSantis desk

Federal agencies have deemed lab-grown, or cultivated, meat safe to eat. But the legislation, supported by the state’s agriculture industry, “pumps the brakes” on the food to ensure it is safe. The chamber voted 86-27 to pass the bill (SB 1084), which would make changes related to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. More details in the link in the title.

Chick-fil-A is opening a 400 square foot grab-and-go location without registers and chairs

Chick-fil-A opened its first-ever mobile pickup restaurant in New York City last Thursday, March 21. This new restaurant is one of two innovative, digital-focused test concepts the restaurant company is opening – the second of which is the elevated drive-thru concept projected to open later this year. Locale | Collaboration of small business in Dubai

We came across ‘Locale’ a tribe of likeminded owners joined by a powerful belief in why good food matters. Their slogan: Building a community of good food, good people and good ideas. A good idea to pass on in other areas?

Local collaboration between donuts shop and Michelin star restaurant

In Toronto, located in a pink building on Adelaide Street is COPS. This, kind of, art gallery tries to reimagine the local doughnut shop. They have a collaboration with Osteria Giulia, a local Michelin star restaurant. Together they created small, and according to Sara Buchanan, most delicious tiramisu donuts. Great idea – donuts flavors in collaboration with great chefs! More details about COPS in the link in the title.

Ice cream made from cauliflower

Eat Kinda is a start-up from New Zealand and they designed an ice cream that is creamy, tastes delicious, plant based & good for the planet. They use cauliflower that would otherwise go to waste because it isn’t the right size or shape for supermarkets, their ice cream is vegan, made without any dairy, gluten, soy or nuts.
