And 2 openings in London for foodies! Brazilian chef Alberto Landgraf will open restaurant Bossa in Marylebone and the two Michelin starred Portuguese chef, Henrique Sá Pessoa will open restaurant JOIA in in London’s first art’otel.

For those who love to bake, check out the inspiring Instagram account of NUDAKE, they opened their fourth location in Seoul with the introduction of a ‘Burger Cake’. And would you pay €60,= for an espresso? They serve it at Ettore’s Espresso Bar at H.R. Owen Bugatti in Mayfair, London.

It’s difficult to translate a word joke in another language but we will try to, restaurant ‘t Noorden in Aalten, a rural location in the Achterhoek region in the East of the Netherlands celebrates a Burgundy weekend but calls it Boergondic – (boer is the Dutch word for farmer). Back to Boergundy – A weekend with the best of two years of Boergundy on a brand new terrace and an incredible holiday setting. Delicious beers, wines and Boergondic snacks with live music. World Oceans Day was on June 8, and it is an indisputable fact that healthy oceans are important to us. Almost 70% of the earth’s surface consists of water. The sea is the largest ecosystem in the world. Billions of people depend on it for C02, food, work, oxygen, tourism and so on. As important as it is, we, people from the Netherlands, continue to eat too much fish that was brought to us due to overfishing. But at the Vermaat Groep, things are changing. In partnership with Good Fish, they are going to ensure that fish that is overfished, endangered, illegally caught or cultivated is no longer available in their 400 restaurants.

Ghost kitchen chain Casper from Belgium is going to expand to the Netherlands

Casper, the fast-growing ghost kitchen chain in Belgium, announced it has raised €5 million in a Series A financing led by Amsterdam-based Slingshot Ventures, in partnership with serial entrepreneurs Zhong Xu & Jan Hollez (Deliverect) and Jürgen Ingels (Smartfin).

With this injection Casper will expand to various locations in the Netherlands (The Hague, Rotterdam, Eindhoven and Utrecht), France (Lille) in the third quarter of this year and Luxembourg will follow in the fourth quarter. As of Q2 2024, Casper aims to have 50 international locations.
