If you are in love with cheese, you definitely have to visit the Lingenhel cheese outlet in Vienna. Johannes Lingenhel, opened here his first-ever gastronomical cheese outlet, a combination of a cheese factory, tasting bar and gourmet boutique.

Concept Lingenhel

Lingenhel is both a working cheese factory as well as a gourmet tasting bar. The cheese factory itself is located in the former stalls of the residence. The tasting room, attached to the cheese factory is separated from the dairy area with a glass wall. Because the secretion is made of glass it gives the customers a look into the world of cheese making.

The cheese makers produce, buffalo and goat’s milk specialties including brie, camembert and mozzarella. The Lingenhel boutique also carries other delicacies such as prosciutto ham, preserves, breads and olive oil.

Interior Lingenhel

The shop is designed by Destilat Architecture + Design and located at Landstraßer Hauptstraße 74 in one of Vienna’s shopping areas. The interior is minimalist and luxurious. The plain cast-iron accents, and the use of white colour and wooden accents give the shop its sense of timeless yet modern look and feel.
