How do they get the ice in there? That’s the first question always asked about the kukki cocktail. These fresh fruit cocktails come in a bottle complete with ice cubes and without any chemical ingredients. Founders Josef Klemm, Saif Hamed and Andy Romanowski have launched a small revolution on the European drinks market by replacing artificially made mixed drinks in cans with the fresh fruit cocktails in bottles. With an alcohol content of 10.3% the kukki range includes seven, vegan, gluten-free and, above all, refreshingly delicious cocktail classics. With names like ‘Sex On The Beach’, ‘Boston’, ‘Ladykiller’, ‘Mule’, ‘Mint Passion’, ‘El Presidente’ and ‘Winter Spiced Apple’. All the cocktails are bottled to comply with high European standards at the kukki factory in Berlin.

Kukki Cocktail | How do they get the ice cubes in there?

In the two years since the cocktails were launched kukki cocktail has gained an impressive client list that includes, IBIS Hotels, CinemaxX, Aramark and the Concept Group, along with multiple hotels and other venues. Ideal for every market kukki cocktails can be frozen for up to eighteen months. When thawed they provide a delicious fresh cocktail with the ice cubes still inside! These are the perfect drinks for those that love the long lazy summer days or a hectic night in a club with a group of friends. For bars and restaurants there is the innovative kukki ‘toaster’, a device that thaws the cocktails within a few seconds but the liquid remains cold while the ice cubes stay frozen.

So how do they get the ice cubes in there? “Well, the idea of cocktails with ice in the bottle had swirled around in my head for a long time”, says Josef Klemm one of kukki’s founders. “After many hours, days and weeks of experimenting, I finally designed a machine that shoots cylindrical, elongated ice cubes into the bottle”. When Josef met his co-founder Saif Hamed they continued the development of the innovative and unique ice cube machine. Andy Romanowski then joined them both to bring kukki to the market.

Gatherings of all sorts including festivals, parties, cinemas, nightclubs and weddings will be getting their kukki on in the Netherlands before too long! With nearly 3000 patents worldwide the kukki team is looking forward to even more innovative products to come!
