As of July 16, 2025, you can experience a new way to stay in The Hague. De Lola Podshotel has opened in ‘De Haagse Bluf’ – the very first true pod hotel in The Hague and the Netherlands. No standard rooms here, but cozy sleep pods: compact, stacked cocoons with everything you need for a comfortable stay right in the city center. De Lola brings the smart and efficient sleep concept, already popular in global cities like Tokyo, New York and London, to the Netherlands. The hotel features 62 pods accommodating up to 70 guests, and a contemporary food concept and a stylish retro 70s-inspired lobby.

De Lola Pods Hotel | Efficient and comfortable
De Lola doesn’t offer traditional hotel rooms. Instead, it provides modern sleep pods, compact, well-equipped capsules featuring a comfortable bed, privacy curtain, individual lighting, power outlets, and smart storage solutions. Pods are available for one or two guests. Shared bathroom facilities are available 24/7 and maintained to high hygiene standards.

Located in the heart of The Hague on the former site of the Foodhallen, De Lola Podshotel is just a short walk from key cultural and tourist hotspots like the Binnenhof, the Mauritshuis, and the Grote Markt. Trams and bikes will quickly take you to the beach.

The hotel features a modern food wall offering fresh and affordable meals and snacks, accessible 24/7. The coffee corner is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, serving coffee and a selection of beverages, including Lowlander low and no-alcohol beers and drinks by Swinkels. The lounge provides an informal, inspiring space to work, connect, or simply unwind.

Meet the GM | Justus van Dam
Justus van Dam (28) is the General Manager of De Lola Podshotel. Born in Amsterdam and raised in Hilversum, he is the eldest of four brothers and comes from an entrepreneurial family. In 2015, he began his studies at Hotelschool The Hague, where he developed into a strategic thinker with a strong passion for hospitality. During his studies, he won the prestigious NXT GM Challenge for young hotel talents, which led to his first role as general manager at Postillion Hotel Amersfoort Veluwemeer. Van Dam is proud to lead this innovative hotel concept.
