Highland Park Bowl | Awesome bowling alley

Highland Park Bowl is known to be “LA’s oldest bowling alley”. The bowling center that originates from 1927, has been completely renovated recently. The 1933 Group, an architect specialized in creating an ancient 20^th century atmosphere is responsible for the renovation. The images above show that this company is really specialized in this type of design! We haven’t seen bowling alleys with this type of décor before.

Roof East in East London will be re-opening on the 4^th of May for weekday evenings and weekends. This car-park rooftop summer spot is returning for its fourth year. It’s going to host a rooftop rollerdisco (#rooftoprollers at Roof East), a baseball batting cage club, and hip-hop inspired pétanque from De La Bowl. Oh, and crazy golf! All thanks to the Social Fun & Games Club.

We see more and more applications of virtual reality in society. Currently, WeFlyCheap and the VR House in Utrecht get a lot of attention with their first virtual sun holiday in the Netherlands. You can retreat yourself for a hour at Curacao or take a nice and relaxing break in the Maldives. Furthermore, it’s nice to present this in the Dutch hospitality industry if we have another rainy summer, for the ones who’ve to stay in Holland!

4D-cinemas | Watching movies will become more exciting

Recently two 4D-cinemas opened in France and Norway. Watching movies at these cinemas will become even more exciting. During the movie, physical effects will be synchronized with the movie. In the Netherlands we currently have two small 4D-cinemas. There’s one at amusement park the ‘Efteling’ and chances are you’ve watched a 4D-movie in ‘Dolfinarium’ (Europe’s largest marine mammal park).

MingleMush The Hague | A mishmash of entertainment, food and drinks

In May 2017 a concept of (music) entertainment, food and drinks will open near The Hague Central Station. The MingleMush concept will feature fifteen food stands with different cultural foods, three bars, terraces, arcade games, a library with conversation pits and a stage. A combination of parties, live bands, events, spoken word, readings and singer-songwriters makes MingleMush a hospitality mishmash.

Although CuliAir can’t been seen as a trend anymore, it remains special to see that the concept is still named as a ‘trend’ on various websites. The concept was initiated by masterchef Angélique Schmeinck in 2003. CuliAir is a culinary enjoyment at the highest level, literally and figuratively. If you want to experience something special, from the beginning of April till September it’s possible to book a diner in this floating restaurant. The restaurant consists of 14 spots and is a once in a lifetime experience that’s expected to stay trendy in the upcoming years as well.
