Opened this August: Pickled Fred in Shoreditch London. A brand new bar and restaurant with a focus on pickles and ferments. The food menu is Asian-inspired and is made up of snacks, small plates and flatbreads and they have an innovative cocktail menu.

Looking for a not too touristic hotspot in Barcelona is not easy. The metropolitan city that is known for its good restaurants and large number of visitors each year has more surprises to offer. The culinary part of the city, El Borne, offers enough to fill many evenings and stomachs. Don’t judge a book by its cover, Paradiso, the picturesque pastrami bar on the Carrer Rera Paula, is not known for its good food, but for its original cocktails and great ambiance. To enter this speakeasy you will need to go through a big refrigerator door with a guard in front. Behind that door you get to opportunity to enjoy ‘drinkable art’.

On 9 and 10 September 2017 you can visit five food festivals in Brabant (the southern part of the Netherlands) and at each festival you can visit the VERS Academy to get a fresh dose of knowledge about our food. VERS Academy combines serious discussions about food and food production with culture, education, fun, entertainment and of course; good food. VERS Academy is a Brabant partnership that will lecture, debate or lead workshops at the five major cities of Brabant simultaneously: Breda, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven, Helmond and Tilburg.

Little Sal | Inspired by the everyday Latino life

Latin-American restaurant Salmuera has a little brother, Little Sal opened last month in Amsterdam. Little Sal will be open until the late hours at the Rozengracht 106 for street food, ceviche, empanadas and homemade ‘agua fresca’s’. It’s is a dream come true for the owners of Salmuera.
XXL edition Rrrollend Den Haag at the Malieveld

Until Sunday August 6th, Rrrollend Den Haag XXL will be at the Malieveld with dozens of food trucks, specialty beer bars, a turning mill and more. With 22 editions a year, spread throughout the country, Rrrollend is the biggest food truck festival in the Netherlands. Rrrollend usually stretches down in the city centre, like the Lange Voorhout in The Hague a few months ago. But not this time during a XXL edition on the Malieveld. Due to the fact that this location is a lot bigger, it means that Rrrollend The Hague consists out of twice the amount food trucks than normal (over 40!). Besides, there is an extensive musical lineup and extra entertainment for the children.
