Recently opened Illuminarium Experiences in Atlanta, its first venue worldwide. It opened July 1st on Atlanta’s BeltLine with WILD: a safari experience, immersing guests in the splendour of Africa’s most exotic animals. This new tech-driven entertainment experience enables visitors to see, hear, feel, smell and affect experiences they only dream about through state-of-the-art technologies. Following Atlanta, Illuminarium will open in Las Vegas at AREA 15 in January 2022 and in Miami, at Mana in the Wynwood Arts District, in fall 2022. Other North American locations under consideration are New York City, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles and Austin, with plans to create a global footprint in the world’s leading international destinations.

It made us think of experiencing the art of Vincent van Gogh at the L’Atelier des Lumières in Paris or the art at the NXT Museum in Amsterdam. But then it would be more like immersing yourself in experiences like the Safari or their next experience the ‘SPACEWALK’. A new way of visiting exciting places or would you prefer to immerse yourself in their nightlife experience?

Great idea for city restaurants? A paid team building in another surrounding? Might work for other restaurants as well and it’s great inspiration to work with local produce, who knows what you might take back to your menu in the city. We have seen a lot of initiatives of chefs working together to create food festivals, trading places or joining a team of chefs cooking in each other’s restaurants (The Grand Gelinaz Shuffle), but in this case the whole teams goes on an adventure in the summer. Inspiration for their guests to get to know the restaurant and for the team to have fun and get to know more about the local produce!

  • Cocktails with a story - Mariposa Negra Bar
  • 3D printen glasses at the Mariposa Negra Bar

The first cocktail bar in the world to use 3D printing and laser printing technology recently opened in Barcelona, Spain. They take the word ‘artisan’ to another level, as they created almost everything in the bar by themselves, like the bar, back bar, tables, decorations, lamps, signs, plates, ceramic picks and more. They even have their own molding techniques to create their own ceramic glasses. Each drink has a really long process of preparation because many liqueurs, juices, bitters and other drinks are made by the bartenders. Thus creating cocktails with very unique and balanced flavours. The name and place are inspired by the mysterious fantasy world of Marina’s novel, written by the great Spanish writer, Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

A spot in Barcelona to visit if you’re a cocktail lover! It’s located in Plaça de les Olles, in the heart of the Born Quarter, a neighborhood known for its gastronomy, art and its streets full of life.
