Zwarte Cross snack set for nationwide launch | Tante Rikanto already outselling frikandels and croquettes
With great pride and rumbling stomachs, the organization behind Zwarte Cross, the Feestfabriek Alles Komt Goed BV, has announced that the Tante Rikanto snack will soon be available nationwide in the Netherlands. “A milestone that will shake up the food & beverage world,” according to the former Zwarte Cross festival director and the snack’s namesake, Tante Rikie.

Success creates an appetite for more
The Tante Rikanto is a snack developed by Feestfabriek in collaboration with Dutch snack chain FEBO and was introduced to visitors during Zwarte Cross 2025. “The Tante Rikanto is a crispy queen. This is the ultimate Zwarte Cross snack: spicy, crunchy, and filled with a deliciously smooth filling,” the organization said at the launch. The snack consists of a mildly spicy, tender minced meat filling coated in a crispy crust, seasoned generously and finished with a subtle tang. Exactly the way retired festival director Tante Rikie likes it. It is also a substantial snack, providing a solid base before a long evening of partying. The launch proved to be an immediate success. In its very first year, more Tante Rikanto snacks were sold than the traditional Dutch favorites, frikandels and croquettes. For Feestfabriek, that success created both a literal and figurative appetite for more.

Tante Rikanto will be nationwide available
Naturally, the Tante Rikanto snack will be widely available in the Netherlands during the upcoming Zwarte Cross festival in July. However, the festival only takes place four days a year. While that may be disappointing for fans of music, motorsports, stunts, and spectacle, it is equally frustrating for dedicated snack lovers.
Feestfabriek is currently in advanced discussions with several partners in the snack industry regarding nationwide distribution and availability. More details are expected to be announced soon.
According to Feestfabriek: “One thing is as certain as a Tante Rikanto snack rising above the frying oil: Zwarte Cross visitors will not have to wait until July 2027 to enjoy what we believe is the tastiest snack in the world.”
Following in the footsteps of Nozem Oil
This is not the first time Feestfabriek has ventured into developing its own food and beverage products. In 2012, the organization launched its alcoholic beverage Nozem Oil. Today, Nozem Oil has grown into an independent company within Feestfabriek. The product is sold nationwide in Dutch supermarkets, has its own successful merchandise line, is even available as an ice cream, and is set to take its first international expansion steps in 2026. “It would be fantastic if Tante Rikanto could achieve the same success,” concludes an visibly emotional Tante Rikie.
