Every day we spot fun, new concepts. This week, three new concepts from Weesp, Amsterdam and Bilthoven. Located on the Herengracht in Weesp, Café Restaurant Amice has a cosy, warm ambiance and of course a ‘Weespermop parfait’ (a delicious local cookie) on the menu! Loop51 is a special brunch concept where you immerse yourself in a club during the day! They combine brunch with vinyl and if you want to dance… you’re welcome to. And fine-dining restaurant NORRA will open in Bilthoven on April 2nd. It will be Lieke Nicole-Creemers’ second restaurant, alongside restaurant Le Nord, which is undergoing a culinary formula change this week. An old favourite dish of ours is on the menu here: ‘Pizza Thon’, originally from Las Vegas and always on the menu at Joop Braakhekke’s former restaurant Le Garage in Amsterdam.

Loop51 | Brunch, vinyl and dancing in short it has a daytime club ambiance!
Loop51 is a new address for brunch and vinyl enjoyment at the Dusartstraat 51 in Amsterdam. During the day (Wednesday till Sunday), you can enjoy brunch while enjoying vinyl and on Friday and Saturday nights, the dance floor is opened until late. They have a weekly line-up of DJs to match the ambiance, with everything from reggae dub to hip-hop and house, spinning on their unique custom-made sound system. On the menu, no nonsense comfort food like ‘Buttermilk Fried chicken’, possibly with waffle, ‘Cauliflower wings’, ‘ Brioche French Toast’, ‘Coleslaw’ and, for example, Mozzerella sticks and Onion rings as snacks. They have some great cocktails that are very competitively priced (we think) such as a Dill 51 with homemade gin infused with dill and cucumber, lime syrup and tonic for 9 euros! The other drinks are also reasonably priced and they also have homemade lemonade!

Café Restaurant Amice in Weesp
Café Restaurant Amice in Weesp opened at Herengracht 22 in Weesp, early December 2024. They are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm. You can have lunch with tasty sandwiches such as a truffle egg salad sandwich and a Caprese sandwich with tomato, burrata and a basil emulsion, of course there is an Amice burger on the menu and also a chicken satay. As snacks, they have oysters (also deep-fried oysters with chorizo), pata negra and rendang croquettes. The starters: Pat’s Egg, a crispy egg with pata negra, bearnaise sauce and the roasted beets with goat cheese, walnuts and honey sound tasty. As do the main course Melanzane di Luc and the Weespermop parfait (a delicious and famous cookie from Weesp). Owner Job Veldhuisen has decorated the restaurant in burgundy and brown colours with a print wallpaper full of flowers. In the middle of the establishment is the eye-catcher: a large wooden carousel that extends to the ceiling. We can’t wait to try the Pat’s Egg!

Fine-dining restaurant NORRA will open in the centre of Bilthoven
Restaurant NORRA will be a fine-dining restaurant located at Emmaplein 10 in Bilthoven. It will be the second restaurant of the entrepreneur, Lieke Nicole-Creemers, who is also co-owner of Restaurant Le Nord in Bilthoven. In addition, Le Nord will undergo a culinary formula change as of the 5th of March 2025.
With her love for French cuisine and her background at Le Nord, it is not surprising that Lieke Nicole-Creemers has chosen cuisine with a French base for her NORRA. ‘We cook refined, contemporary, creative dishes with a twist, made from as much regional produce as possible,’ says the entrepreneur, who will act as hostess in her new establishment. Recruited as chef de cuisine is 33-year-old Boy van Rijn, who was previously chef at Auguste in Maarssen, sous chef at The Lobby in Amsterdam and worked in the kitchens of De Kas in Amsterdam and ‘t Nonnetje in Harderwijk. Le Nord’s famous ‘pizza thon’ (really very tasty, we tried it), the tribute to the former restaurant Le Garage, will also be on the menu at NORRA. The interior will be serene, warm, homely yet chic, and the tables will be set with linen. Another month of preparations and then NORRA will open on April 2nd. They are still looking for staff!
