In response to the biggest crisis ever seen in the restaurant industry Fine Dining Lovers, the global gastronomic platform by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, has brought together some of the brightest and boldest voices of the global hospitality industry to discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in Turning The Tables: Digital Discussions with Industry Insiders. The inspiration has been aired on May 26th and consists of four presentations, two debates and over ten short video soundbites from over 25 of the brightest and boldest voices of the global hospitality industry and they’re interesting for anyone interested in restaurants, both consumer and from within the industry. In the video’s they also presented the results of the ‘Fine Dining Lovers Global Coronavirus Restaurant Survey’. All videos can be viewed here without registration and content will be added consistently as the situation evolves and changes. Wondering who is sharing their insights?

Without the ‘Turning The Tables’ section we already loved to check ‘Fine Dining Lovers’ for insights in the culinary scene, we even often link to them in our ‘Trends we spotted this week’.

Each guest discusses how the impact of the Covid-19 has affected them and how they responded providing insight and inspiration through sharing experience and ideas and guests range from Jo Harris (the owner of a community pub), to Michelin-starred chefs like Massimo Bottura and Ana Roš, analysts Professor Vaughn Tan and Matteo Figura, representatives from Basque Culinary Centre and James Beard Foundation and to many more like Grant Achatz, three-Michelin-starred chef (USA), Mitsuharu Tsumura of Maido (Peru), Nick Kokonas of Alinea and Tock (USA), Amanda Cohen of Dirt Candy (USA), Rodrigo Oliveira of Mocotó (Brazil), Mitch Lienhard, three-Michelin-starred chef (USA), Mark Moriarty,  two-Michelin-starred chef (Dublin), Vaughn Tan from the London School of Management (UK), Nidal Barake, owner of food agency Gluttonomy (USA) and Matteo Figura food services director at the market research agency NPD (Italy).

Turning The Tables did also present the results from the ‘Fine Dining Lovers Global Coronavirus Restaurant Survey’, conducted in May in partnership with Gronda.eu who distributed the survey across their own network of chefs, offering insight and data from consumers and industry sector workers. This will help provide further angles of debate and also solid data for the industry to understand consumer habits and the impact of lockdowns on the people who run the industry.

“This is an exceptional opportunity to witness some of the incredible figureheads in our industry discussing this unprecedented situation that has radically transformed our lives. The two forum presentations and round tables will address these challenges with a fresh, optimistic outlook, providing expert analysis, advice, and opinion that will inspire the chef community around the world to plate an entirely new tomorrow”. says Ryan King of Fine Dining Lovers.
