Disneyland Paris starts selling tickets for the second half marathon

Disneyland Paris started selling tickets for the second edition of the Disneyland Paris – Val d’Europe half marathon weekend. The weekend takes places from the 21st up till the 24th of September 2017. This ‘fun run’ goes through the entire Walt Disney Studios Park, contestants will be cheered up by Disney figures. Guests can join the adventure with their family or friends, no matter what their health condition is. A new chance to enjoy running in a magic environment. Registration is possible on this website.

Icehotel 365 Sweden

In November 2016 Icehotel 365 opened its doors, a permanent ice experience with an ice bar, ice gallery and ice suites. With a little help from the sun, it will be open 365 days a year.

Icehotel 365 will offer visitors a long-awaited alternative to the classic wintertime Icehotel: a way of combining their ice experience with dogsledding, the aurora or a boat trip on the river, beneath the midnight sun.

“We’ll simply be better positioned to meet market demand for both the midnight sun and the aurora, so we can attract visitors for summer and winter activities north of the Arctic Circle,” says Yngve Bergqvist, founder and creator of Icehotel and Icehotel 365.

Dunkin Donuts opens stores in The Netherlands in 2017

The American bakery- and coffee chain Dunkin’ Donuts will be back in The Netherlands from next year on. A Dutch franchisee has agreed to open four locations in Amsterdam. The coming five years another 25 locations in The Netherlands will be build.

Dunkin’ Donuts has more than 12.000 locations within 45 countries around the world. Only 450 are situated in Europe.

Christmas spirit

A Turkish restaurant in London will single-handedly restore your faith in humanity this holiday season. Shish, as the spot’s called, is offering free meals to all homeless and elderly people who come in on Christmas Day. The restaurant announced the gift a few weeks ago via a simple DIY sign hung out front with what appears to be adhesive putty. It reads, “No one eats alone on Christmas Day. We are here to sit with you.”

Marriott Hotels Europe launched its own tech startup accelerator

Marriott Hotels in Europe is launching a unique accelerator programme to find and accelerate tech start-ups that enhance the travel and hospitality experience. The programme will give budding companies the chance to grow through expert guidance and the opportunity to pilot their product within the Marriott Hotels portfolio within Europe. Upon completion of a successful test period, Marriott Hotels could potentially offer an ongoing partnership with the start-up.
