Your terrace is just as important as your interior. It is the eye catcher of your company. Theme’s and different styles for your terrace can create an extra experience. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case in  all municipalities, some entrepreneurs can only chose between pre-ordered terrace furniture in several municipalities. But despite this fact, you can still do a lot to give your terrace your own twist. If you aren’t stuck to pre-ordered terraces, the ideas below might be nice to apply to your terrace:

1. Beach vibes –  the beach is the trend of this summer. Create your own beach vibes on your terrace. Make a ‘city beach’ with palm trees, a nice cocktail bar and lounge sets. A great example is the beach hut of York & Albany. Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant created a beach hut at their terrace. Together with beach chairs and a menu which was completely adapted to this theme.

2. Furnish your terrace with one theme – be sure to match it with your interior. An excellent example is a company that has fully furnished their café in one theme, the Barbie Café in Mattle, Taiwan. Not one to just copy! This whole café is in Barbie style, as well as the interior, menu, staff and dishes.

3. Use colours – do you need inspiration for the upcoming terrace season? Another great example is the pop-up Pantone café in Monaco. The entire accommodation, menu and drinks decorated with Pantone colours, even a Pantone colour code is included. With fresh summer colours your terrace will surely be different from the rest. Costumers won’t ask for a Mojito cocktail but for a 16-1349 Grapefruit Rose cocktail! Maybe it’s a nice idea to apply this in Holland with the colour range of Histor for example.

4. Match terrace with interiorIn the previous trend you already read about matching your terrace with your interior. Agglomerate your terrace with your interior. If your interior is sleek and white make sure to apply this to your terrace. Costumers decide to visit your terrace based on crowdedness (cosiness) and appearance.

5. Respond to weather conditions – if it is extremely hot, make sure your guests can cool down. Just like you use a heater on your terrace in the winters or evenings. At café ‘’t Huys’ in Arnhem they placed little pools under the tables when it was very warm. Guest enjoyed a refreshing drink whilst have both of their feet in the cold water.
