The music is back on and the dance floor is calling: THOMS Underground Bar is reopening its doors in the heart of Rotterdam. Starting Friday, April 24, the popular nightlife venue on the Meent will once again be open every Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

The return of familiar nights at THOMS Underground Bar
Beneath the well-known THOMS, a venue returns that for many symbolizes long nights and packed dance floors. “The Underground Bar is part of THOMS,” says co-owner Thom van Zanten. “It’s the place where the night really comes alive. Being able to reopen feels like coming home. In the meantime, we haven’t been sitting still—the space has been completely refreshed and is ready for great nights out.”
From closure to reopening
The bar was previously forced to close because its permit did not allow for structural DJ programming. For a well-established name in Rotterdam’s nightlife scene, this was a major setback. However, THOMS Underground Bar actively searched for solutions, holding discussions with the municipality and launching a petition among guests. The result: the doors can reopen.
Grand reopening with Rotterdam DJs Doris Bae and QUINO
The reopening on Friday, April 24 will be celebrated in style, with performances by Rotterdam-based DJs Doris Bae and QUINO. Visitors can expect a packed dance floor, familiar faces, and the signature atmosphere. Additional promotions and surprise DJ acts will follow in the first period.
