This Thursday 22nd July, Tavolino, the Italian restaurant in the heart of London Bridge, will launch their summer terrace in partnership with award-winning modern Italian Aperitivo ITALICUS. The 100-seater terrace will be transformed into Capri by the river, with dishes and drinks inspired by the Italian coast.
Another example for a partnership to create a summer terrace, we spotted a couple of those summer terraces in London and Amsterdam as well, like pop-up Piazza by the Pier and café Bloesem! We wonder when we will see cocktails with this aperitivo ITALICUS Rosolio di Bergamotto at the terraces in the Netherlands. Neighbourhood Italian restaurant and bar Tavolino is located on the banks of the river Thames, the terrace boasts incomparable views of the City and London’s iconic Tower Bridge. Whilst Tavolino is located in the heart of London, both menu and décor will transport guests to Italy’s Bay of Naples. Every aspect of the terrace will evoke ‘la dolce vita’ lifestyle, with the Capri inspired dishes presented on embossed gold menus and lemons adorning the space so that guests feel they are dining in an idyllic Italian grove. Aromatic planters filled with lavender and sage ensures the terrace will be the perfect location to while away long summer days.

Guests are invited to relax al fresco, enjoying expertly curated ITALICUS cocktails with an inclusive menu that offers something for everyone. The Alba Chiara blends ITALICUS with a delicately floral homemade peach and chamomile cordial and light Fever Tree tonic that will cool guests on warm, sunny days. The Dolce Nuvola encapsulates Capri’s renowned lemons with its intense citrus flavour. Made with ITALICUS, Colonel Fox Gin and lemon, this drink will be finished with an ITALICUS foam invoking Tavolino’s newest dessert, the Amalfi lemon meringue, in both flavour and appearance. Those craving a long drink will enjoy the Bella Vita where hibiscus syrup takes centre stage, resulting in a simultaneously sweet yet tart flavour. Paired with ITALICUS, Colonel Fox Gin, soda and prosecco this is set to be the ultimate refreshing summer drink.
The menu at the summer terrace with planeta olive oil ice cream
The new menu will include dishes perfect for grazing on warm summer days. It will feature starters such as burrata, datterini tomato and black olive, honeyed garlic focaccia with extra virgin olive oil, followed by larger dishes of steamed sea bass fillet with Sicilian zucchini salad or grass-fed braised beef and summer truffle, polenta and stracchino. For those with a sweet tooth there will be an indulgent balsamic chocolate mousse served alongside Tavolino’s incredibly popular planeta olive oil ice cream.
Elsewhere on the menu guests will be able to enjoy hand-stretched sourdough pizzas, such as the Calabrese, with spicy nduja, burrata, black olives and chilli for some extra heat, or the summery pasta selection including Sicilian red prawn bucatini with pistachio and pan-seared sea bream, agrodolce salad and caper sauce. The summer terrace will be launching on the 22nd July, open from 11.30am to 10pm every day.
