Taking your dog on a date this Valentine’s Day, this is possible at MicroChippy, a pop-up restaurant for 2 days in London. Canine charity Dogs Trust is bringing a 1950s style doggy diner to Clerkenwell on 13 and 14 February.

Taking your dog on a date at MicroChippy

It wouldn’t work with my dog, the only place I dare to take my dog on a date is to the beach! But it sounds like a great idea, I hope that city dogs are more well behaved then my Labrador ;-). Although the Dog Trust ensures that you’ll dine in comfort at the MicroChippy. The pop-up restaurant has been specially designed for doggy dates, with comfortable booths, doggy bean bags and non-slip bowls.  Dogs Trust has launched the MicroChippy, an exclusive canine cafe to raise awareness of the upcoming change in microchipping legislation. On April 6th, when all dog owners in England, Wales and Scotland must have their pets microchipped and ensure registered address details are kept up to date or risk a fine of £500,=.

What will they serve your companion on this doggy date?

People are treated to a hotdog straight from the menu at Bubbledogs with a glass of Champagne and your dog will be served a doggy hotdog, created by the restaurant’s chef and co-owner Sandia Chang along with veterinary experts. Tickets cost £12,= per person (all inclusive), while pooches go free. Book through eventbrite. ^Marjolein
