I must admit, this is one thing I did not expect to happen in 2021. However, when I think about it, it is a great way to bring some joy into this year with a creative campaign which one would not expect from a coffee and baked goods chain. The question remains however; would you wear Dunkin’ Donuts merch on your wedding day? Here in the Netherlands we have the FEBO (photo 8) who has its own merch collection, I wonder whether fans would love to marry in a ‘FEBO’ dress? Maybe the pyjamas! ^Sammy
The first-ever Dunkin’ wedding merch collection
In a year where weddings are being reimagined, Dunkin’ is bringing pink and orange to the wedding scene, and brewing up various items that can be used to celebrate the big day. The Dunkin’ branded wedding merch items include; a Dunkin’ized veil, a Dunkin’ patterned tie, satin robe, customizable coffee mugs, tumblers, Dunkin’ patterned ring bearer pillow, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.
Dunkin’ was already part of some couples’ wedding day, and the company wanted to let their fans know that they saw and heard them and thus make it official; Dunkin’ wedding merch. According to Melanie Rabino, Director Brand Engagement at Dunkin’, they came up with this idea to make it easier to bring Dunkin’ into couples’ wedding celebrations.
On February 12th some of the new merch was presented to two couples who got married at a Dunkin’ Drive Thru. Furthermore, the winners of Dunkin’s special ‘Marriage is on the Menu’ contest got married at a Dunkin’ location in New York, with special festive Dunkin’ décor, wedding presents from Dunkin’, and a $500 cash prize.
