Charcuterie concept Kured with a first location in Boston, Massachusetts, opened their New York City location in December. Kured has been dubbed the ‘Chipotle of Charcuterie’ and their shop’s Greenwich Village location is a few blocks south of Washington Square park at 218 Thompson Street. The innovative concept is inspired by the food markets of Europe, where getting a cone of salami is as quick and easy as grabbing a slice of pizza on the streets of NYC. New Yorkers will be able to customize their own to-go charcuterie spreads with artisan salamis and cheeses, as well as sweet and savory sides.

Even though most Dutch people enjoy charcuterie and cheese on their bread during breakfast and lunch, we’re not really familiar with charcuterie/cheese boards like the French, Spanish and Italian people are. And we love it when we’re on holiday in one of these countries. So we think a Charcuterie concept like Kured might work in the Netherlands as well!

To celebrate the opening, Kured gave away free Balthazar baguettes with all orders the first week. Customers can visit the store in person or place orders online for delivery or pickup. Kured also offers a catering option for anyone looking for last minute holiday party snacks. This location is Kured’s first New York location and second location overall, following their flagship store in Boston. This opening comes after Kured’s two Gen-Z female founders closed a seed round of financing to expand the operation to New York.

“New York excites us for a lot of reasons, but it’s really about the dynamic culture and diverse creativity of the city,” said co-founder Gilli Rozynek. “We’re hoping to bring New Yorkers into a thought-provoking space, which can act as a platform to showcase the talents of the farmers and artists behind our product.”
