Horecatrends | Tips for Culinary videos worth watching – week 9

YouTube has been a source of inspiration for spotting trends past few years. Every day, thousands of movies are uploaded with new and interesting content. We too sometimes use videos as a source of inspiration to write about. With this week again a selection of videos which Demi Poppe thinks are worth it to watch. Among other things, a video about the FlyZoo hotel that is totally taken over by robots and face scanning computers.

Alibaba´s new hotel runs on robot hospitality

The video shows the Flyzoo hotel in China that totally is taken over by robots and face scanning computers. Technology is developed really quickly and Chinese people are seeing the benefit of this. Because the Chinese government itself is using a lot of similar technology to build surveillance systems, the use of robots is more obvious in the Chinese society than in Europe. I found it really interesting to see because we spotted already a lot of robots that are substitute for staff in hotels or restaurants. Will this actually happen in the future?

In the same way as recently published pasta from a cone. (link article) The same man that can be seen in this video is vlogging about his gigantic pizza cone. This seems a bit too big to take with you on the street but the small version of this pizza seems like a nice idea, especially now that the festival season is coming!
