The Hague Central Station has a new restaurant concept: Grand Central Food Market. Yesterday, Horecatrends was present at the opening of the fish-, burger- and winebar. Brought together in one single room in the centre of the station hall.

Grand Central Food Market concepts

The entrepreneurs of the Grand Central Food Market are Joris Visser, Niels van Nieuwenhuizen and Stefan Tiemeijer. The first two are well known for their burgerbar Firma Pickles, a concept which combines gastroburgers and a good glass of wine. At The Hague central station the famous gastroburgers of Firma Pickles are served, next to that guests can visit the Bar Bellota, a winebar with a wide assortment of Spanish hams, at Saltzer guests can enjoy fish. The two smaller foodtrucks give the Grand Central Food Market its finishing touch.

Interior

No money has been saved on the interior. The restaurant is more or less divided into three different areas which are connected to each other. Every area has its own signature and appearance. The burgerbar for example is comparable to the appearance of the other burgerbars of Firma Pickles. Bar Bellota is decorated with lots of wood and marble. The fishbar has lots of blue and rust colours and is a typical fishbar as can be found on the coastal areas of USA.

Open for guests

The Grand Central Food Market will open its doors from Monday the 4th of July for guests. Curious about the opening hours and menu? Visit the website of Grand Central Food Market.
