We’re only missing a link with tonic, but the new gin-flavoured cheese from the Cheshire Cheese Company could be a new cheese at your cheeseboard! A chef might be able to create a tonic jelly to support the cheese……

Gin-flavoured cheese

The novelty product, crafted by the Cheshire Cheese Company, won the International Cheese Bronze Award earlier in the year. It’s described as a “masterful balance of gin and lemons with award-winning creamy Cheshire cheese” which results in “a totally unique and incredibly tasty cheese blend”. It sound like the splash of gin adds to the taste sensation or as they subscribe it, the melt in the mouth sensation.

The individual cheese costs £4.75 for 200g and it comes packaged in an attractive, eye-catching yellow wax truckle. At the Cheshire Cheese Company they love the boozy flavour, would you like to try the Irish Whiskey and Stem Ginger or the Old Hag Ale with Mustard Cheddar or the El Gringo Cheese Chilli, Lime & Tequila Cheddar?
