Cocktail galore | From mini-cocktails to taste each other’s drinks to a new chilled glass
That my generation spends a lot of time online is no surprise to anyone. But the number of fun, small gestures you come across can still be surprising. Like at Schmuck, a cocktail bar in New York City, which recently went viral for offering a new chilled glass to a guest who was slowly enjoying her dirty martini. See the video by Craft and Cocktails on Instagram.
The bar at Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea also recently went viral with a hospitable cocktail gesture. A guest, Leah Stapleton, shared on Instagram how she and her tablemate were served a mini version of each cocktail alongside the full-size ones, so they could taste each other’s drinks, check out her reel here. A simple yet effective way to surprise your guests!
A flight of mini-cocktails
Of course, you can also serve a flight of mini-cocktails, giving your guests the chance to try several at once. This article on VML highlights some inspiring examples. On Horecatrends, we wrote about a whisky flight at The Malt Vault in Utrecht before: ideal for both beginners and seasoned whisky lovers.
The ultimate combination | Sauvignon & Sea Salt
In the past, we’ve written about serving a mini ice cream with coffee. The Instagram account Rich & Thirsty recently shared a grown-up version: the Sauvignon & Sea Salt, as they call it themselves. A glass of wine with a mini cone of fries, clipped to the rim with a small peg. I’am already a fan! How fun is it to serve your guests a little snack with their glass of wine?

Small Hospitality Gestures
We’ve always believed in the power of small hospitality gestures – long before they could go viral online. Besides boosting brand awareness, they spark conversations and can be the reason someone returns. In short: they create a connection with your guests. And isn’t that ultimately what makes most hospitality entrepreneurs the happiest?
