A boiled or poached egg at the 2-Michelin stars level, as from Tuesday 25 June you can have breakfast from 7.30 in the morning at FG Restaurant at De Hofbogen in Rotterdam. Master chef François Geurds is the first star chef to start serving a high-quality breakfast for passers-by.
In real life most of us often struggle to live by the Dutch expression “breakfast as an emperor, lunch as a king and dinner as a beggar” while this seems to be so much better for our health. But we can’t imagine not enjoying lunch or dinner at a Michelin rated restaurant. Now you can also have breakfast at FG Restaurant of 2-star chef François Geurds.
A perfect start of the day: enjoy culinary delights and meanwhile prepare the day with a colleague or discuss a project. ‘A good start is half the battle’ for both your health and business!
What will be served at FG breakfast?
Homemade (sourdough) breads and croissants, the best ham in the world, cheeses of A-quality only. If you’re in Rotterdam you can’t wake up in a better place than in FG Restaurant. For those who want to treat themselves, there is even caviar and champagne but FG Breakfast is not necessarily decadent. Juices, salads, pancakes, FG Breakfast is served for everyone.
The difference lies mainly in the execution, in the taste. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict at FG Restaurant, you will lick your fingers! Everything is of course crisp and fresh and all dishes are prepared on site. At FG Restaurant you don’t stand in line for the buffet. Breakfast is served at the table at FG Restaurant. Guests can indicate what they feel like from the breakfast trolley. You pay for what you order. Small eaters are not disadvantaged.
The morning newspaper reads very well in the spacious swivel chairs of FG Restaurant. FG Restaurant also has a private dining room. Meetings can be held in this room during or after breakfast.
