Spirit baubles as decoration for your Christmas tree, to open after Christmas dinner! Great way to serve drinks in bars and restaurants this holiday season.

The range includes a selection of single 20cl baubles with exquisite ribbon, containing either The Lakes Gin, The Lakes Vodka or The ONE British Isles Blended Whisky. Also available are gift sets each containing six 5cl baubles filled with the spirits of The Lakes Distillery, with a whisky set, a vodka set and a gin set. The vodka and gin sets include an exclusive preview of the highly-anticipated flavoured vodka and gin liqueurs.
The Lakes Distillery baubles will be available from late September 2017 in retail outlets across the UK and on their website.
The Loop | Instagrammable ‘horchata and churros’

The Loop does sell churros in Westminster, California. They have an Instragram hit with their special horchata with a loop of churros. A horchata is a Spanish drink from the Valencia region, made of almonds, water and sugar, which creates a milk like substance. At ‘the Loop’ they added activated charcoal which creates a social media-friendly or instagrammable ‘horchata and churros’.

Since 1982, when Zen Buddhist monk Bernie Glassman started the Greyston bakery in New York State, the company is a role model for companies who want to mean more for society. Greyston has an open hiring policy (Open Hiring ™), which is the most radical form of anonymous job application in the world. Since 1995 their products have been delivered to, among others, Ben & Jerry’s, the famous ice cream brand. At the end of last week, Greyston announced that they will open a branch in Amsterdam and introduce their thoughts and methods in the Netherlands. Social Investor Start Foundation has committed $ 500,000 to start the first preparations.

FG OKONOMIYAKI BAR | Japanese pancake bar in Rotterdam

Soon FG Okonomiyaki Bar will be opened in the Japanese style Denoism store, at the Katshoek 19 in Rotterdam (Hofbogen). They are going to serve Okonomiyaki, which means free translated ‘baked or grilled as you like it’. Unlike the Dutch pancake, the okonomiyaki isn’t based on milk but on seaweed stock. You can fill the pancake with a choice of toppings such as cod, pork belly, tuna, homemade ketchup and bonito flakes. For 5 euros each, you can take away a mini-ekonomiyaki’s.

Ali Saqid decided to move from his market stall on the Pekmarkt in Amsterdam North to the Beukenplein, where he started his pop-up vegan snack shop in the formal ice-cream store “het IJsboefje”. Ali Sadiq started with selling samosa’s, typical southeast-Asia streetfood, what sold really well. Nowadays, he is selling his vegan snacks until March 2018 on the Beukenplein 5 in the east of Amsterdam
