From secret wartime bars, rooftop tap-dancing and extravagant gondola parties to luminaries such as Alfred Hitchcock, Katherine Hepburn and Tom Jones, the menu will be a celebration of some of The Savoy’s most captivating stories. lees verder
Chef Joris Bijdendijk has received the first designer shoe for chefs with Michelin-soles at the Dutch Horecava, the trade fair for hotels and restaurants. These professional work shoes are designed by chefs clothing company Chaud Devant in collaboration with the French tire company Michelin. They worked intensively at this innovative product for more than a year. The result is a series of shoes with excellent flexibility and an ingenious non-slip design that supports fast movements in several directions without losing its grip. This creates a safer working environment for chefs and lighter, more comfortable shoes. lees verder

The last category has a cheary chair, banana chair but also Italian dishes chairs, chocolate and hazelnut chairs. Gym Boat in Paris by Carlo Ratti Associati We think it would be great to have a workout-powered gym boat in the canals of Amsterdam as well. But for now the International design and innovation office Carlo Ratti Associati has teamed up with fitness equipment manufacturer Technogym, architecture group Terreform ONE and the urban regeneration institute URBEM to present the Paris Navigating Gym. This will be a fitness vessel that moves along the Seine River by harnessing energy from the workouts of their passengers.
At the Manta Resort in Tanzania you can spend the night in a special way. The resort offers a room which lays four meters beneath the waves. The room lies approximately 250m from the shore of Pemba Island, one of the islands surrounding Tanzania. lees verder
