Cake bars | Cake that looks like a frozen popsicle

28-3-2017

No ice popsicles but cake bars or cake-on-a-stick, a new dessert at the Giovane Café at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver. The executive pastry chef Jeffry Kahle and his team created a collection of delicious flavours for their new line of Cake Bars. Choose from Raspberry Krunch, Coconut Pineapple, Chocolate 99 or Banana MC.

Cake bars or cake-on-a-stick

The Giovane Café’s newest treat: a cake-on-a-stick creation that looks exactly like a classic frozen popsicle dessert. They don’t only look like the ice version but have a crunchy coating for the bite as well. Inside you’ll find a chewy, layered cake. We think that these cake bars will be great as a treat for children, as on-the-go delicacy and at parties. The cake bars are available at $8.00 per bar.

The Giovane Café at the Fairmont Pacific Rim

The Italian-inspired Giovane café + eatery in downtown Vancouver celebrates la dolce vita from morning until night. By day, guests can sip coffee here and enjoy breakfasts, house-baked pastries like the cake bars, authentic panini and pizzas. At night, the café transforms into an all-Italian eatery, where you can enjoy pasta, salumi and formaggio plates. The market, Giovane’s gourmet food destination, offers a carefully curated offering of luxurious prepared meals, high-end food products and exclusive gifts. They even sell picnic pics at the market.
