After a successful pilot – at six different KFC restaurants – this meat substitute is permanently available in all KFC restaurants in the Netherlands as of last Tuesday.

The Japanese-inspired service will feature an eight-seat sushi bar with five seatings per night, and an omakase menu curated by the Chef based on seasonal, fresh ingredients.

With the motto: ‘Bien dans mon assiette, bien sur ma planète’ is Écotable a new guide for those who value a more sustainable way of dining out. The French startup, founded back in January 2019, is the platform to check if you want to dine out as sustainable if possible!

De Groene Ster (the green star) is a Dutch foundation comparable to Ecotable. By awarding ‘green stars’, the initiators hope to encourage the hospitality industry to make their business processes more sustainable, economically, ecologically and socially. Steinbeisser and the Lloyd Hotel invited the French chef Alexandre Gauthier from restaurant La Grenouillère (** Michelin) to Amsterdam for a new edition of Experimental Gastronomy. On 5 and 6 June, a full vegan tasting menu will be served on unconventional crockery and cutlery, which will be developed especially for this occasion in collaboration with ten artists.
