From 4 to 11 October, Bagels & Beans will once again transform into Beagles & Beans, with free coffee for pet owners, a Purple Furfection Furryccino for dogs, and walking clubs at various locations across the Netherlands.

Run clubs are popping up everywhere. But for those who would rather follow a wagging tail than chase a personal best, Bagels & Beans has an alternative this autumn. During Animal Week, the coffee and bagel concept will go for a stroll with dogs and their owners at various locations across the Netherlands. No stopwatch or fastest lap, just relaxed sniffing, walking and, of course, a tasty treat afterwards.
Animal Week instead of Animal Day
Because just one day of Animal Day? Bagels & Beans thinks that’s a bit on the short side. That’s why, from 4 to 11 October, the concept traditionally turns into Beagles & Beans, giving animals and their owners a whole extra week in the spotlight.
Purple Furfection Furryccino
Since the very first location, Bagels & Beans has had one important house rule: everyone is welcome. And by everyone, they really mean everyone. Whether the company barks, meows, chirps or neighs.
During Animal Week, guests who visit with their pet receive a free cup of coffee. This year there’s something new on the menu for dogs: the Purple Furfection Furryccino, a festive treat with purple sprinkles from LIEVICK, made especially for four-legged guests. The Furryccino is a nod to the purple summer at Bagels & Beans, and from 4 to 31 October, dogs can enjoy it for free.

Dog walking club
While the run club has become a familiar sight in the streets, Beagles & Beans opts for a pace that leaves plenty of time for sniffing. That’s why walks are being organised from Bagels & Beans locations across the Netherlands. The recipe: dogs and owners gather at Bagels & Beans, coffee in one hand, leash in the other, and set off together. After a pleasant loop, the walk ends back at the location, where a Purple Furfection Furryccino awaits the dog. A lap around the block, so to speak.
From coffee dates to sniffing dates
With these walks, Bagels & Beans wants not only to celebrate Animal Week, but above all to bring people from the neighbourhood together. When meeting a stranger for the first time, you sometimes struggle to find an opening line, but dogs rarely have that problem. A quick sniff and the ice is broken.
The walks will be announced both nationally and locally by the participating locations. In addition, Bagels & Beans is sharing several walking routes via Strava for those who would rather take their four-legged friend for a stroll on their own.
Because whether you join a walking club or do your own loop together, getting some fresh air is even better in good company. And afterwards? Dog gets the Purple Furfection Furryccino, owner gets the coffee. That’s how simple a moment of happiness can be.
