Every day, we spot fun new concepts. This week: MOSH! is opening its second location in Kortrijk, Belgium, in the Safari Studios. Artisanal smash burgers, raw energy and a creative vibe will make this the city’s newest culinary hotspot as of March 2026. Recently, DAPPER., led by chef Nick Dapper and hostess Lisa Deklerck, also opened in Belgium at the Planet Group Arena above KAA Gent’s pitch. And here in our hometown Leiden, a new Subway location will open at Betaplein on December 10.

MOSH! Kortrijk | Artisanal smash burgers, natural wine and a dash of hardcore
MOSH! is opening its second branch in Belgium in March, this time in Kortrijk, in the iconic Safari Studios. The name MOSH! refers to the roots of founders Tom Degroote and Pieter Vermeersch, who met thirty years ago in the Belgian hardcore scene, moshing in the pit. After the success of their first location in Bruges, they are now bringing the same raw energy, artisanal smash burgers and love of experience to Kortrijk. With MOSH! Kortrijk, they are returning to their roots and giving the city a new creative culinary hotspot.
“Safari Studios is a mythical place in Kortrijk. The energy there — music, creativity, history — fits perfectly with the MOSH! vibe,” the owners say. The founders of MOSH!, Tom and Pieter are friends with Goose, the owner of Safari Studios, making this collaboration a natural match. The opening of MOSH! DAPPER. opens in KAA Ghent’s Planet Group Arena
With DAPPER., KAA Ghent’s Planet Group Arena in Belgium welcomes a new gastronomic chapter. Chef Nick Dapper and hostess Lisa Deklerck take the helm of the restaurant high above the pitch, focusing on a refined cuisine defined by pure flavors, technical precision, and warm hospitality. Immediately after opening, DAPPER. earned a score of 14/20 from Gault&Millau.
Since September 2025, the restaurant has been open not only on match days (privately) but also on other days for individual food lovers and companies seeking discretion and comfort.
Nick Dapper (b. 1989) grew up in Zeebrugge and gained experience at the restaurants ’t Korennaer in Sint Niklaas, Pure C in Cadzand, and De Koolputten in Waasmunster. His greatest inspiration is chef Roger Souvereyns, who taught him the importance of respecting the product, craftsmanship, and simplicity. With DAPPER., Nick has created his own signature: pure, precise, and technical without unnecessary embellishments.
The kitchen focuses on clarity, balance, and seasonal ingredients, with a strong passion for fish. Guests can choose from three- to six-course menus or à la carte. The understated interior reflects the calm, thoughtful style of the plates. Restaurant DAPPER. opens in KAA Ghent’s Planet Group Arena
New Subway® restaurant opens at Betaplein in Leiden
Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10, a new Subway location will open its doors at Betaplein 313 in Leiden. The restaurant responds to the growing demand for fresh, high-quality sandwiches at an affordable price. Leiden previously had two Subway locations, but they closed shortly after each other, now fans can enjoy Subway in the city again.
On Saturday, 13 December, a Grand Opening will take place with exclusive offers, including free Subs from 12:00 to 15:00, a meet & greet with Santa Claus, and a chance to win free Subs for a year.
From classics like the Classic B.M.T.® and Chicken Teriyaki Sub to wraps, salads, and Baked Potatoes, Subway offers plenty of choice, with freshly baked bread, crisp vegetables, and flavourful sauces daily. Franchisees Dalyan Güner & Ümit Tanyildiz says: “We’re excited to open our doors to the Leiden community.
