Disaronno celebrates 500 year anniversary with 5 exclusive bottles
In 2025, Disaronno, the beloved Italian liqueur brand, celebrates its 500th anniversary with an exclusive limited edition collection. Five unique bottles honour the core values that have defined Disaronno for centuries: Passione, Bellezza, Dolcevita, Stile, and Eleganza. Each design captures an element of the Italian lifestyle, from fiery passion to timeless elegance. The iconic bottle appears in a festive and stylish edition, with the same familiar taste. This anniversary collection is a tribute to Disaronno’s rich history and a true collector’s item for enthusiasts.
From Pumpkin Soup, a Halloween run, a kids workshop to DJ Sets | This Is WOLF in October
We’ve written before about WOLF’s agenda in Antwerp and Brussels. They always have fun ideas! This October, WOLF makes itself heard in both cities with an inspiring series of activities. Check out all the events in Antwerp and Brussels! Our favourites? On October 19, children aged 3 to 7 become real chefs during the kids workshop. The Pumpkin Special is a creative session where pumpkins are painted, carved, and turned into artwork, spooky decorations, and delicious autumn soup. But most of all, we love the idea of the Halloween Run: running through the city in your Halloween costume, then relaxing with a drink and a live DJ set. You can find more information about WOLF on their website, linked in the title.
Sam D’Huyvetter x Otomat
Lots of attention for Basque cuisine this week! Recently, we wrote about a Txokos menu at Sagardi in Amsterdam, and now there’s the BASK Pepperoni: a tribute to the Basque Country — a pizza topped with txistorra, chorizo, Idiazabal cheese and piparra peppers.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Otomat is launching ‘Friends of Otomat’, a series of culinary collaborations. Sam D’Huyvetter, a Ghent-based hospitality entrepreneur and creative mind behind concepts such as Bar Bask, Taberna Bask, The Dudes and the culinary branding agency Brand Bites, is the first to collaborate.
Starting from October 22, the BASK Pepperoni will be available at Otomat locations in Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent, Leuven and Mechelen. More details on their website — link in the title.
We’ve previously written about Otomat’s creative pizza inspirations, such as their takes on Flemish classics!
AMANO Group grows its presence in London with Waterman House
AMANO Group, a Germany-based boutique hotel brand known for its distinctive and contemporary design, is growing its London presence with the acquisition of Waterman House. This historic 9-floor, approximately 2,300 square meter building, vacant for nearly a decade, will be transformed into a stylish boutique hotel in the heart of London’s Theatreland. Following the success of Hotel AMANO Covent Garden, this new project continues AMANO’s mission to bring bold Berlin flair and vibrant hospitality to London.

Jewellery get the five star treatment at Clardige’s
Last week we wrote about the new in-house jeweller at the Rosewood in Amsterdam, recently we received a press release from the Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair London about their ‘Claridge’s Life in Charms’. A collab with British jeweller Annoushka! The charms showcase the hotel’s iconic symbols from the Art Deco revolving doors and the Rocking Zebra to the Bellboy Teddy Bear and the historic 1898 Claridge’s Crest, each reflecting Claridge’s unique heritage. Prices start from £2,900 – definitely a special treat.
Inspiration for other hotels? Even with more affordable charms, the idea has plenty of charm. 😉
Bar Leone in Hong Kong is named The World’s Best Bar 2025
The list of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025, sponsored by Perrier, was revealed at a live awards ceremony in Hong Kong. The annual event once again united the global bar community for its 17th edition in recognition of the outstanding achievements of their peers. Bar Leone in Hong Kong is named No.1! Nestled in Hong Kong’s Central district, Bar Leone is built on the philosophy of ‘cocktail popolari’ – or ‘cocktails for the people’ – paying tribute to the neighbourhood bars of Rome, where locals gather for coffee, aperitivi and casual conversation.
Other bars in the top five are Mexico City’s Handshake Speakeasy (No.2), Barcelona’s Sips (No.3) and Paradiso (No.4) and London’s Tayēr + Elementary (No.5). Unfortunately there are no Dutch bars in the full list, you can check the full list here! The press release in linked in the title.
A new craveable brand refresh for Domino’s® intended to make you say “Mmm” and a ‘Pardoned Pineapple Pizza’ in Rome
Domino’s Pizza is launching its first brand refresh in 13 years, with the goal of making every aspect of the brand as craveable as what’s inside the box. The new look and feel will roll out over the coming months across the U.S. and multiple international markets, with touchpoints including: TV and digital advertising, dominos.com, Domino’s ordering app, boxes, print materials, in-store graphics, and team member gear. All the details in their press release, link in the title.
By the way: Domino’s Italy also delivered the world’s most controversial pizza through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica. A ‘Pardoned Pineapple Pizza’. An employee of the company carried a freshly baked pizza with pineapple, Domino’s ‘Waikiki’ variety, through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica for a promotional campaign. 😉
