The Waterwolf in Madurodam | A new event location

The exciting family attraction in Madurodam, the Waterwolf, is all about Dutch decisiveness and land reclamation in the 19th century. The show gives insights in the reclamation of the immense Haarlemmermeer Lake. This area of more than 185km2 that has since become one of the Netherlands’ most important economic regions. In this new indoor attraction, visitors see for themselves how the Dutch – up to this very day – make water into land in impossible places the world over. It’s a story of internationally renowned feats involving water management, and how pumping stations make it possible to live below sea level.
