On Friday October 6, House of Bird will open the bock beer season with the Bocktoberfest in the Diemerbos (forest near Amsterdam). It promises to be a great kick-off including the launch of the new beer ‘Kaketoekomst’, a charity auction, the Open NK Rodeobock and various DJs. The Bocktoberfest in the Diemerbos
On Friday 6 October, House of Bird will open the bock season with the Bocktoberfest in the Diemerbos. From 5pm they will create a great ambiance in their tasting room with various DJs and the launch of their new beer; ‘Kaketoekomst’. Proceeds from the beer will be used to build a trash barrier in Bali together with Club Kakatua. To raise extra money, the first keg of Kaketoekomst will be auctioned at 5.30pm, with all profits going to Club Kakatua. Will you come and bid for the first keg? Of course, the winner will be highlighted throughout the evening and communicated via various channels!
Club Kakatua
Club Kakatua is an organisation that helps to make the planet a greener place. With Co-founder Dennis Storm, former television host. Kakatua does all kinds of projects at once, planting trees in Kenya or restoring the Amazon. However, House of Bird’s initiative and proceeds will go towards building a trash barrier in Bali, which will allow them to remove an estimated 20,000 kilos of plastic from the river every year.
Beer, food, music & the NK Rodeobock ride
In the tasting room, you will find 18 different beers on tap. Because of the opening of the new bock season, you will be able to taste several autumnal beers. “Aged casks, special brews: all nice things. Furthermore, a number of seasonal beers will be new on tap, so for the beer lover there is a lot to discover. We will also have a special menu that day that is totally fitting for an October festival.” Says the owners of House of Bird.
From 5pm, there will be music by several DJs. In addition, participants will have a chance to become Dutch champion Rodeobock rider, from 6.30pm the NK Rodeobock riding opens. Would you dare to compete? Will you stay on the Bock the longest? Participation is free! So register now by clicking here.
