Renewed hospitality concept ROAM & Desert Inn Pub
In four-star hotel Carlton Oasis, part of the Carlton Hotel Collection, the festive opening of the renewed hospitality concept ROAM and Desert Inn Pub was celebrated yesterday. Carlton Oasis is located in Spijkenisse, the town located on the island of Voorne-Putten that is the transition zone between the metropolis Rotterdam and rural Zeeland. Located around the corner from Rotterdam’s rough port area, Carlton Oasis has a woman at the helm, general manager Nathalie Rosbergen. She is leading this new culinary adventure, in which both the restaurant and Pub received a complete rebranding. The Pub and ROAM are open to all.
Restaurant ROAM | Accessible Luxury
‘Worldly with a twist’ – restaurant ROAM has a focus on accessible, local and seasonal dishes that are both affordable and luxurious. Throughout the day cooking is done in an open kitchen, with an open fire using high-quality, honest ingredients, sourced nationally whenever possible. Sourcing is mostly local, with attention to animal welfare and the environment. The interior of the restaurant, which seats 140, is inspired by the green region of Voorne-Putten with its sandy beaches, forests and open fields. There is also a subtle reference to the industrial environment and the distinctive “smoke” of Rotterdam and the Botlek. ROAM welcomes hotel guests, as well as guests from outside, to come and enjoy the warm atmosphere and quality cuisine.

For Spijkenisse residents, the Desert Inn Pub is an iconic place. A cozy bar steeped in nostalgia and memories. The completely renovated Pub aims to once again become the meeting place for both the younger and older generations from Spijkenisse and the surrounding area.
