Permanent fanwalk in Cape Town

14-7-2010

During this World Cup, a string (of 2,6 km) of Dutch fans walked from downtown Capetown to the Green Point Stadium; a “Fanwalk”. Now people can vote to make this area an official pedestrian area on match days. Cooltown Studios read the following message on an African news website: :“If the roads are closed from the station to the stadium circle every Sunday, it would be a great tourism venue and also a new Cape Town activity. It will add value, bring life to the city on weekends and create new opportunities.”
