The Greyston Bakery | With Open Hiring™ model will be coming to Amsterdam
Since 1982, when Zen Buddhist monk Bernie Glassman started the Greyston bakery in New York State, the company is a role model for companies who want to mean more for society. Greyston has an open hiring policy (Open Hiring ™), which is the most radical form of anonymous job application in the world. Since 1995 their products have been delivered to, among others, Ben & Jerry’s, the famous ice cream brand. At the end of last week, Greyston announced that they will open a branch in Amsterdam and introduce their thoughts and methods in the Netherlands. Social Investor Start Foundation has committed $ 500,000 to start the first preparations. read more
