Dutch city Leiden has a new hotspot in the city for the upcoming three months. De Buurt (the neighbourhood) recently opened next to Leiden Central station. A place where art, culture, food and fashion meet.

Pop-up neighbourhood

In the past, larger buildings like the Rabobank and the Visitor Centre used to be here. In the future a new complex named Lorentz will be realized. Instead of facing a construction site during the summer, the city of Leiden preferred to create a pop-up neighbourhood. Creative thinking and well executed.

Hotspot De Buurt

De Buurt has to become the hotpot of Leiden this summer. Food, drinks, a city beach and also a sports field has been build. Besides that, a small theatre is created where music performances, lectures and receptions take place.

More information about the temporary project can be found on the website of De Buurt Leiden.
