The FlineBox because road safety starts with awareness
The FlineBox is the world’s first interactive and anonymous breathalyzer terminal, specially designed for use in public spaces. In less than a minute, the test indicates whether driving with the measured alcohol level is still responsible, including personal advice that helps people make a conscious choice. The inventors want to emphasize one core message: if you drink, don’t drive.
The introduction of the FlineBox is part of Diageo’s broader commitment to responsible alcohol consumption. Together with Fline, they are bringing prevention tools to the places where they matter most: where people celebrate, gather, and make decisions about getting home.
How this interactive electronic breathalyzer by Fline and Diageo works
Visitors simply take a breath test and within 45 seconds receive an anonymous, clear result. Figures are deliberately not displayed to avoid competition or trivialization. The FlineBox is user-friendly, quick, and reliable. Statistics show that drink-driving is still a problem. That’s why this collaboration with Fline provides an additional, accessible tool that prompts people to make conscious choices at the right moment.
Diageo has entered into a global partnership with Fline to bring the FlineBox to new markets, including the Netherlands, leveraging Diageo’s worldwide hospitality network. The FlineBox has already been successfully rolled out in Belgium, France, Ireland, Norway, Switzerland, Spain, and the UAE, supported by road safety authorities. More than 1 million tests have now been carried out across over 250 locations in Europe.
