While the sun has already made many appearances, summer only officially begins on Saturday, June 21, the longest day of the year. With over sixteen hours of daylight, it’s the perfect time to kick off the summer season. Doppio Espresso is marking the occasion in true Italian style by treating guests to a free iced coffee: a refreshing caffè freddo, made just like in Italy. From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, all Doppio locations in the Netherlands will offer a free cool coffee moment.

The weather forecast is really Italian —so we think they can expect long lines!

A free caffè freddo to brighten your day

“Doppio is all about hospitality, craftsmanship, and the art of enjoyment,” says Thyrza Ruiter, Marketing Coordinator at Doppio Espresso. “Just like in Italy, happiness is often found in the little things: a good conversation, a warm smile, or a refreshing drink on a hot day. With this initiative, we want to share that feeling—something small and unexpected that makes your day a bit better.”

A fresh start to summer at Doppio Espresso

On Saturday, June 21, Doppio Espresso locations will hand out free iced coffee between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee break or just walking in, everyone will receive a chilled shot of caffeine served in refreshing, small portions. It’s the perfect moment to pause and recharge—exactly in tune with the laid-back rhythm of summer.
