The completely renewed Curacao Marriott Beach Resort will soon officially open its doors. The resort has been closed for 3 years and has completely been renovated and refurbished, counting $ 37 million in total. The reopening gives this icon of Curaçao hospitality the position as the most luxurious resort on the island. Guests will be received in a modern, luxurious ambiance with a complete range of 5-star services and facilities. The beautiful Curacao Marriott Beach Resort is located on the beach, a 15-minute drive from Hato, the international airport of Curaçao, and 10 minutes from the historic capital city Willemstad which is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage.

In August 2016 the major renovation of the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort started and now the renovations are all done. In addition to the new interior a new floor has been added and thereby 86 extra rooms. As from now on you can make a booking on their website for stays as of November 15th.

Inspiration maritime tradition

In everything you can see and feel that the new resort has been renovated with pride and passion. The two swimming pools, one of which is suitable for children, the garden, the lobby and all 336 rooms and suites have been completely rebuilt and refurnished. The design and styling are inspired by the Dutch maritime tradition and elaborated in modern design by the famous Mexican agency “Arquitectura de Interiores”. The colour combinations of blue and white are based on the deep blue colour of the sea and are dressed up with tones of wood and striking orange elements.

No expenses have been spared to allow guests to experience luxury throughout the resort. All rooms have a spacious balcony and a view over the sea and swimming pool and are equipped with the latest audio visual equipment. The new bathrooms are arranged as mini-spas, including luxury care products. The suites are spacious and have a separate living room. Guests who want even more exclusivity can book a room with access to “The Reef Club”, a lounge where they can spend the day and enjoy drinks and snacks. The attention to detail is also reflected in the service.

The international team is trained according to the high Marriott standards and knows how to combine pure 5-star luxury with the authentic hospitality values of Curaçao.

A reunion of old friends

Now that the resort has been completely renovated you would almost forget that it has been very popular among Dutch guests for decades. Managing Director Craig Martin: “The team is looking forward to seeing our old friends” and future friends rediscovering the resort and introducing new guests to our personal service and attention to detail in this beautiful setting. “

Guests meet in the “Great Room”, the Marriott lobby concept. In this open lobby, 3 trendy hospitality concepts are combined, each with its own atmosphere. Come together at a bar, choose an intimate seat or seek interaction with other guests at one of the large community tables.

Chef Dino Jagtiani

The resort has hired an award-winning chef, Dino Jagtiani, to develop and manage trendy concepts for the restaurants and bars, along with food and beverage director Mark Sjollema. Chef Dino is known for his innovative view on Caribbean cuisine and the use of local ingredients. The resort offers a sushi bar, cocktail bar, an open pool bar and a coffee shop. Signature restaurant Ç-spice offers dishes with local, Caribbean, European and South American influences, in a relaxed, chic environment that guests can enjoy inside or outside on the patio. The official opening will take place on November 15th. The resort will be fully operational as of the first of November and by then will already receive its first Dutch guests.
