The transformation of the Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport is complete. The hotel is part of the Claus Park Collection in Hoofddorp and has been expanded by 6,000 m2 and extensively renewed. A total of 112 rooms have been added, including four studios with ‘extended stay’ facilities. Claus Park Collection therefore has an even more complete offer for large (inter) national congresses and events.

Energy-saving expansion

Martijn Beekhuis, General Manager at Courtyards by Marriott Amsterdam Airport: “We have opted for a contemporary, cool, European interior and energy-efficient installations. For example, the new rooms are completely gasless. Attention was also paid to smart and energy-saving solutions such as orientation lighting across the floor, Smart TVs and mobile keys. In addition, the entrance to the hotel has been redesigned and in the rear of the garden a very cool ‘jeu-de-boules alley’ has been installed”.

Scope for international events from Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport

Beekhuis: “The 260 rooms and a total of 15 meeting rooms within the Claus Park Collection provide us with the space for (multi-day) congresses and events, nationally and certainly also internationally. It is now a ‘resort’ in which all facets are present for a successful business event. From the moment we are open we are fully booked, especially the auditorium with capacity for 330 guests is very popular. In addition, we immediately receive very good responses, like from one of our important Signify accounts. We are very proud of that.”

Jelrick Claus, Commercial Manager at Claus about the renovation of the hotel: “With this expansion, our business guests can use all facilities at Claus, Courtyard and Papa’s Beach House for several consecutive days. The covered passage between Claus and the hotel ensures that we are virtually one and that the synergy between us is even more visible to our guests.”

Ultramodern comfort

Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport now also offers Comfort King Rooms: spacious rooms of 27 m2 with a Smart TV with Guest Room Entertainment, Chromecast and mobile key access for Marriott Bonvoy-members. There are also four brand new studios: ‘extended stay’ rooms with a separate sleeping and living area that can be booked for a longer period (minimum 3 nights) and who offer all the comfort for a long and pleasant stay.

The covered passage makes it easier for guests to move from the hotel to one of Claus’ spaces; for a meeting, event and/or a good dinner or pleasant drink in one of the catering establishments. 100 new parking spaces have also been created at the hotel grounds.
