Five-star Dutch gezelligheid (a word hard to describe but cosiness comes near) during the tenth edition of the Hotelnacht in Amsterdam, on 14 and 15 January 2023 at the Conservatorium Hotel in cooperation with Café Nol, the most famous café in the Jordaan neighbourhood in Amsterdam. For this ode to the capital’s nightlife, the hotel will transform its Taiko Bar into an Amsterdam pub. Hotelnacht visitors and hotel guests will enjoy Dutch hits, culminating in a performance by Café Nol’s regular folk singer. Chef Schilo van Coevorden will present his variation on the old Dutch bittergarnituur this evening: a langoustine frikandel with green curry and caviar, a wagyu beef frikandel and his award-winning cheese soufflé with black truffle. At the bar, too, guests briefly imagine themselves in the Jordaan with a cold glass of beer, a kopstootje or a special Jenever cocktail provided by the world’s oldest cocktail brand Lucas Bols (from Amsterdam).

Five-star Dutch ‘gezelligheid’ at the Hotelnacht

Amsterdam Night at the Conservatorium Hotel will take place on Saturday 14 January 2023. Hotel Night participants and hotel guests are welcome from 20:00 to 00:00 at Taiko Bar in the Conservatorium Hotel, Paulus Potterstraat 50 in Amsterdam.

About the Conservatorium Hotel

The Conservatorium Hotel is located in the Museum Quarter, the luxurious and cultural heart of the city. This architectural masterpiece that combines a monumental historical character with contemporary design houses several restaurants, a bar, a lounge and the 1,000-square-metre Akasha Holistic Wellbeing. Literally around the corner from this vibrant and elegant setting are the city’s crown jewels: the Van Gogh Museum, the Concertgebouw, the Rijksmuseum, the Vondelpark and the P.C. Hooftstraat with Amsterdam’s most luxurious shops. All in all, a unique location, whether for leisure, cultural or business purposes.

About Café Nol

Café Nol opened its doors on Westerstraat in the Jordaan neighbourhood in 1966 and has been a household name in Amsterdam for years. At Café Nol guests have found Amsterdam cosiness in a real Jordanian pub for almost 60 years. The motto ‘Always fun at Café Nol’ has remained unchanged throughout that time. Folk singers such as Johnny Jordaan, Tante Leen and Willy Alberti were welcome guests at Café Nol and this was one of the reasons for Café Nol’s close relationship with the song of life, which continues to this day. Café Nol is a real family business: current owner Anne-Marie Grijzenhout is the granddaughter of the first owners Nol and Miep Uilenbroek.
