After last year’s ice-skating area and the curling sheet on the rooftop of the hotel this winter, Floor17 will organize something special again this spring: sleeping in a transparent air-bubble. From the 12th of May till the 10th of June you it’s possible to sleep under the stars on Floor17’s 85 meters high rooftop. The special hotel room is designed by popular online design brand MADE.com. It’s not only going to be a super romantic stay, but also a very stylish one.

Storage Stool | Smart storage chairs

The Storage Stool, a chair with a compartment for storing your bags or jackets. You have high stools, low stools, bar stools, saddle stools, moveable stools and even bar stools with a backrest. But you can’t store anything in these chairs, Jeroen Speksnijder, owner of interior shop Spoor 38, decided to design one with a storage unit. The result is the Storage Stool, a timeless, robust wooden chair with a metal storage frame. Underneath the seat hangs a metal, extendable basket in which you can store your items, for example, your iPad, computer or handbag, always safe and nearby.

That’s possible, the last couple of years we spotted many examples of special themed hotel rooms. We created a list of examples of beautiful and special hotel rooms. Some examples from the Netherlands, like sleeping in a Van Gogh painting, at the Pier of Scheveningen, in a suite with blow ups of etchings by Rembrandt, in a crane or an airplane. The executive pastry chef Jeffry Kahle and his team created a collection of delicious flavours for their new line of Cake Bars. Choose from Raspberry Krunch, Coconut Pineapple, Chocolate 99 or Banana MC.
